Graduation Day

Every year after publication of the university results, graduation day is held in the college inviting VIPs to preside over the function, honour the students and distribute the degree certificates.

Annual Day

The college annual day is celebrated every year in which an opportunity is extended to the students to exhibit their talents. Toppers at the college level and university examinations in sports and games and cultural programmes are honored with medals and certificates for their outstanding performance. Teacher educators are honored with medals and cash awards for their remarkable services and achievements.

Guest Lectures

To give an wide exposure for student’s enrichment and create awareness on significant issues guest lectures inviting experts /resources persons from eminent fields are arranged periodically.

Personality Development

The college not only pays utmost importance to the academic excellence of the student teachers but also to their wholesome personality development. Seminars and resourceful lectures are arranged to focus attention in strengthening desirable and weakening undesirable personality traits.

Life Skill Courses

To benefit the students hailing from different geographical, economic and educational backgrounds bridge course is conducted to bridge the gap arising from leaving the arts and science college, distant mode of education and pursuing the course in a college of education with focus on the development of language competence. This course is conducted for about a weeks at the commencement of the academic year. To make the new students cope with some likely problems to be experienced a life skills course is conducted. The life skills covered comprise stress coping management, transactional analysis, communication skills development, self-awareness and self-motivation, positive thing, emotional intelligence, time management and empowerment.

Seminars & Workshops

The college conducts regional level, state level, and national level seminars and workshops on vital themes and issues related to teacher education to benefit teachers, teacher educators, professors and student communities. The participants are motivated to present thematic papers and papers based on empirical studies.

SUPW

The college trains the student teachers in producing Socially Useful Product Work in the workshop.
